Paul Spadafora is a former professional boxer from the United States. He was born on September 5, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Spadafora is also known by his nickname "The Pittsburgh Kid."
Spadafora had a successful amateur boxing career before turning professional in 1995. He won his first 36 professional fights and held the IBF lightweight title from 1999 to 2003. However, his career was marred by personal issues and legal troubles, including multiple arrests for charges such as assault and driving under the influence.
In 2003, Spadafora was involved in a serious car accident that left him with a severe brain injury and limited his boxing career. Despite this setback, he continued to fight professionally until 2013, finishing with a record of 49 wins (including 20 knockouts), 2 losses, and 1 draw.
Spadafora's troubled personal life and legal issues have overshadowed his boxing career, but he remains a popular figure in the Pittsburgh boxing community. He has also been involved in various charitable activities and organizations in his hometown.
